The answer is DNA...messenger RNA...transfer RNA...Protein. RNA polymerase is responsible for the development of RNA (later spliced into mRNA) from DNA. mRNA then forms a complex with ribosome and tRNA to translate the mRNA into a polypeptide/protein. This flow is referred to as the central dogma.
