Answer:

D. reimbursement of the plaintiff

Step-by-step explanation:

In criminal law cases, the most extreme punishment handed down to a defendant is the reimbursement of the plaintiff. A civil court defendant cannot go to jail, be executed, or be forced to pay a fine to the government. These punishments are reserved for criminal cases.

I believe the answer is: reimbursement of the plaintiff
Civil court case only handle legal disputes between one citizens with another.
For most of the time, the cases that handled in civil court would be handled through settlement between the citizens or reimbursement of the plaintiff in exchange of getting out of jail.
