Altitude is the greatest factor determining climate conditions true or false

Altitude does affect climate as temperature decreases by 0.6 degrees for every 100m above sea level, however I wouldn’t say it is the greatest factor. I would say false.
Wind direction and latitude are more likely to have a greater affect on climate.
