What is the first step needed to solve 4 over 7 the whole multiplied by x minus 5 equal negative 13?

Subtract 13 from both sides
Divide both sides by 7
Add 5 to both sides
Multiply both sides by 4

So it’s:

(4/7)x - 5 = -13

Add 5 to both sides
Multiply both sides with 7
Divide both sides with 4

Multiply and dividing is always last!!!
