Many things take more than one year to accomplish. If a governor only had a 1 year term, they would not be able to accomplish much in such a short amount of time.

Answer:

One-year term for Governor may not suffice the requirement of implementing and exploring the various concepts.

Explanation:

  • Good governance describes how and why the decisions are made and implemented.
  • These can be understood in various characteristics like economy, education, finance, rule of law, transparency, effectiveness of any policy, accountability, development strategies, participation of various institutions.
  • These aspects of governance should be monitored from time to time and ensure that proper commitment, support, quality is provided.
  • Everything pertaining to this needs a stable framework which is enforced with impartiality and incorruptibility. So, in order to visualize the fruits of implementing such reforms, one-term for governor can be ineffective.
