we have
y²=-12x
the vertex is the point (0,0)------------- > see the attached figure
standard form: (y-k)^2=4p(x-h), with (h,k) being the (x,y) coordinates of the vertex.
vertex(0,0)
4p=-12---- > p=-12/4
p=-3
Focus:(-3,0)
the answer is (-3,0)
