The author, Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve, uses many details to paint an image of Grandpa. After reading “The Medicine Bag,” think of someone in your family who has a strong role as a leader, and describe them in the same detail that Sneve uses in her description of Grandpa in the story.

My mom is very ill/sick. She has a lime disease but she still stays strong and takes care of us kids. She is the strongest mom I know. She has been through thick and thin and she has her highs and her lows. Some days she is down. She is a gift from God, she's an angel sent from heaven, she helps people with their sickness, and gives to the homeless. She is an amazing mother.

My dad had a strong role in our family before he passed away. He was an amazing father an intelligent man. and a wonderful husband to my mother WHEN they were together...before my mom got on drugs anyway...he was a wonderful positive role model!!!! He was my rock!!! He was the only one who cared the only one who understood the one i was closest too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
