The reaction between sodium fluoride and dilute hydrochloric acid yields Hydrogen fluoride and sodium chloride. The equation for the reaction is;
NaF + HCl = HF + NaCl
Na ⁺ + F⁻ + H⁺ + Cl⁻ = HF + Na⁺ + Cl⁻
The net ionic equation :
F⁻ + H⁺ = HF
