Jerry's age = h + 4
Their ages combined = 24

Let's make an equation:

h + (h + 4) = 24
h + h + 4 = 24
2h + 4 = 24
2h = 20
h = 10

Hunter is 10 years old, and Jerry is 10 + 4, or 14 years old.
