How did the Confederate Constitution handle the issue of slavery?

It condemned and rejected it.
It recognized and protected it.
It did not address it.
It supported it, but only in the North

It recognized and protected it. Slavery had been a major issue leading up the secession of the South.

The Confederates were the Southern states. They supported slavery unlike the United States constitution. Remember, the Confederates separated from the US hence why both of these constitutions existed at the same time. So therefore the answer cannot be the first one because they embraced it. The answer cannot be that they did not address it because they claimed slaves as 3/5 of a person as well as saying that nobody could interfere with someones right to slaves. It also could also not be the fourth one because they supported it in the South. Therefore the answer would be ¨It recognized and protected it.¨ I hope this helps!
