The First Amendment provides that "Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech"

Ellipses are used to indicate when a group of words are removed from a sentence to make the quotation read smoothly.

Ellipses are NOT used to indicate that words have been omitted from the beginning or end of a quotation.

B) The First Amendment provides that "Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech" because all the others have ellipsis at the end of the quote
