What increases glycogen breakdown in the liver and raises your blood sugar?

The answer is Glucagon Increases. This works like this after a meal of a rich carbohydrate, over four to six hours the blood glucose level rise, leading to an increase in glycogen. Produced by alpha cells of the pancreas and released in response to low blood glucose and epinephrine. Secretion inhibited by high blood glucose and insulin. Stimulates glycogen breakdown and inhibits glycogen synthesis
