The lens changes the focal distance of the eye so that you can focus on images/objects.

Answer:

The lens is located in the eye. By changing its shape/curvature, the lens changes the focal distance of the eye. In other words, it focuses the light rays by changing its curvature and let light pass through it in order to create clear images of objects . It also works together with the cornea to refract, or bend, light.
