well, she should eat then 1/5 ÷ 7, that way she'd split the 1/5 lb in 7 equal pieces, one for each day

\bf \cfrac{1}{5}/ 7\implies \cfrac{1}{5}/ \cfrac{7}{1}\implies \cfrac{1}{5}\cdot \cfrac{1}{7}\implies \cfrac{1}{35}

So 1/5 pound for 7 days
1/5 ÷ 7
rewrite the 7 as a fraction of 7/1
1/5 ÷ 7/1
keep the first fraction, change the division sign to multiplication, flip the second fraction
1/5 * 1/7
multiply across
(1 * 1) / ( 5 * 7)
1/35

She should
eat 1/35 of a pound each day to make her 1/5 of a pound last a week, or seven days.

Hope this helps
