Answer: They believe Buddhism differently

Explanation: Theravada Buddhism believes Buddha (Siddhartha) was a spiritual teacher not a deity. Theravada buddhism is around the Sri Lanka area.

Mahayana Buddhism believes Buddha is a deity more than a spiritual teacher. More people believe in Mahayana Buddhism and it’s more based in Korea, Japan, and somewhat Vietnam.
