When a system of equations has a solution, then it is called a consistent system. Likewise, when it only has one set of solutions, then it is considered to be an independent system. The easiest way to obtain the pair of the equation 3x + 4y = 8 would be to try and solve it using the given equations from the choices.
Trial and Error using choice C:
3x + 4y = 86x - 3y = 2
x = 32/33y = 14/11
Therefore, the correct answer is 6x - 3y = 2. I know this because ive done this before
