The “Black History Month” celebrates afro-american citzens who contributed somehow to the United States’ history and culture.
Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in 1963 and is a former professional basketball player. He played 15 seasons for the NBA (National Basketball Association). Jordan is one of the most marketed sports figures in history. Besides playing basketball he was the face of several well-known brands, he was an actor in movies and even opened his own restaurant. In 2014 he also became the first billionaire player in NBA history. He is the third-richest African-American, behind Robert F. Smith and Oprah Winfrey.
Due to his successful career and also for becoming the first modern african-american superstar athlete in the United States, Michael Jordan was remembered and celebrated in the Black History Month.
