Cartilage is a connective tissue yet once damage can cause pain.Degenerative joint disease attacks the cartilage of the body that allows movement of the bones. The goal for patients having this would be controlling pain, improving joint function and maintaining healthy weight thus the nurse should impart health teaching to a 70 year old client to have proper diet, exercise, getting rest, maintaining the body weight and to take medications prescribed for controlling of pain.
