To find the slope while looking at a graph, it's basically rise/run.

How much does a line have to go up/down and go towards the right/left to get to the next point on the line?

In this graph there are the points (-9,-5) and (-3,-1).

If you look at it the lines are already drawn out for you, so all you have to do is count how much the line goes up and how much the line goes to the right and divide them.

In this case it went up 4 and went towards the left 6, 4/6, or 2/3, which is the slope.
