Even though there has been lots of civilizations that left their mark in the human history, the Roman and Greek civilizations are different in the way they managed to influence the region, and later on big portion of the world.
The Roman and Greek civilizations set apart from the other ones in their cultural, political, and scientific advancements. Their languages, the Latin, and the Greek, were considered as aristocratic languages in the other areas and were very prestigious. Their cultures were gradually adopted by lots of other civilizations and spread out on a big area. In the Middle Ages, the Renaissance was a product of the revival of these two cultures.
