The formula for distance between point in a coordinate grid is the following:


\sqrt{(x2 - x1) {}^(2) + (y2 - y1) {}^(2) }
Where 1 and 2 stands for the points, so in your case the formula is the following

\sqrt{( - 2 - - 5) {}^(2) + (3 - 1) }

\sqrt{ {3}^(2) + 2 {}^(2) }

√(9 + 4)

√(13) =3.605...
So your answer is about 3.61
