We know that the problem that 15% of the toddlers equals 3 toddlers. Whit that information we can establish a proportion like follows:
If 15% of the toddlers are 3 toddlers, 100% of the toddlers are
x toddlers:

(15----\ \textgreater \ 3)/(100---\ \textgreater \ x)

(15)/(100) = (3)/(x)

x= ((100)(3))/(15)

x= (300)/(15)

x=20

We can conclude that there are a total of 20 toddlers in the preschool class.
