The basis for the internet began in the year 1969 because of work by the United States department of Defense. The history of the internet began as ARPANET in the year 1969 and it was a text-only. In the year 1990s boring www and multimedia only existed. By then, the internet has revolutionized the computer and communications world like nothing before. Thus the internet is at once a world-wide broadcasting, mechanism for information dissemination and a medium for collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers without regard for geographic location.
