f(x) = g(x)
4/3x - 4= 1/6x + 3
4/3x - 1/6x = 3 + 4
8/6x - 1/6x = 7
7/6 x = 7
7x = 42
x = 6

Set the functions equal and solve for x.
.. f(x) = g(x)
.. (4/3)x -4 = (1/6)x +3
.. x(4/3 -1/6) = 7
.. (7/6)x = 7
.. x = 6
The only x-value for which f(x) = g(x) is x=6.
