5x-6y=10

This is a linear equation...

A typical linear equation is written in the form
y=mx+c

Where m=gradient
And c=intercept

So all you have to do is to express y in terms of x "make y the subject of the formula"

Therefore 5x-6y=10

6y=5x-10
Divide through by 6

6y/6 = 5x/6 - 10/6

The intercept here is = - 10/6
Gradient = 5/6-----the coefficient of x....

Hope this helped.....???
