Attached is the image concerned for this question.
The correct answer is letter "C" as this corresponds to gustatory epithelial cells. Gustatory epithelial cells are also called receptor cells and these receive the taste information from the food and sends it to the primary gustatory cortex of the brain responsible for taste sensation.
Letter A corresponds to taste fibers of cranial nerve
Letter B corresponds to basal epithelial cells
Letter D corresponds to the taste pore
