In order for aptitude, genetics for a talent, to succeed the right environment is needed. A child could have an aptitude for music but if not offered a chance to sing or play an instrument the aptitude will not be utilized. For those that are low-income the environment plays more of a factor than the genes they have. Whereas, for middle to upper class individuals the environment is less harsh and therefore aptitudes can flourish.
