10*2=20 3*3=9 20+9=29

If you section off the 3x3 cube, you can find the areas of the now two figures separately and then add their areas together.
A = bh
A = 10(2)
A = 20
A = 3(3)
A = 9
Total A = 20 + 9
Total A = 29
