the sears tower of Chicago is 1450 feet high. a model is 24 inches tall. what is the ratio of the height of the model to the height of the actual sears tower?

Def scale is 1:x where x is actual size
Note 1 doesn't always work for numbers given, but is preferred

24:1450 -> 24/1450
Let's do it step by step of easiest factor to find
An obvious one is 2
24/1450 = 12/725
Can't be simplified
Thus the scale is 12:725
But if 1:x is required we divide it out to get
12:725 is about 1:0.0166
Actual number is irrational and goes on forever
