The area would be 84m2

Because first you work out the area of the triangle on the left : 7*4 = 28 / 2 = 14
14+14 = 28... Because there are 2 triangles

Then you work out the area of the square : 8*7=56

Lastly you add both areas together to get the area of the entire shape:
