Distribute the 5 to (y+2) to get 5y+10=25. Subtract 10 from each side to get 5y=15 divide 5 from each side to get y=3. Your ultimate goal is to get the y alone.
Your answer is y=3

the correct answer is 3, Y = 3 simply 5(3+2)=25 .
3+2=5 5x5=25
