Hey there! :D

One of the main reasons we built the Panama Canal was to create a passage through the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. We did this to make trading and traveling easier. It was a great economic advantage.

I wouldn't say "A", "B", or "C". This was not the aim of the canal. It was going to be used as an efficient way to get from one ocean to the other.

The correct answer is "D" 'It allowed ships to cross directly between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.'

I hope this helps!
