The influence of psychological factor in the development and progression of the Cancer. Psycho-oncology is the branch of clinical psychology that is responsible for working with people affected by cancer and their families, helping them to control all biopsychosocial factors that may affect them as a means to improve the quality of life. The biopsychosocial factors are for example stress, anxiety, conflictive home, psychological problems such as depression or even low self-esteem.
Recent research has shown that improving the quality of life of patients improves their immunological system which leads to considerable improvements in health.
