2x-5(2x-7y+3)+(-8)
multiply 5 by all in first parentheses

2x- (5*2x) - (5*-7y) - (5*3) -8

2x-10x+35y-15-8

combine like terms
= -8x+35y-23

Hope this helps! :)

-8x + 35y - 23 = -1 • (8x - 35y + 23) Final result : -8x + 35y - 23
