For this case what we can do is the following rule of three to solve the problem:
100 $ ----> 100%
$ 500 ----> x
Clearing the value of x we have:
x = (500/100) * (100)
x = 500%
Answer:
the percentage of change in Apple shares since 1980 is:
x = 500%
