What you must do for this case is to rewrite the equation.
Rewriting we have:
-0.75m-0.5 = 2 + 0.25m
- (3/4) m- (1/2) = 2 + (1/4) m
To eliminate the fractions we must multiply both sides of the equation by -4
-4 * [- (3/4) m- (1/2)] = - 4 * [2+ (1/4) m]
3m + 2 = -8-m
Answer:
Each term of the equation can be multiplied by -4 to eliminate the fractions before solving.
