Mrs. Roberts should have got 1:6. When simplifying ratios you divide both numbers. Mrs. Roberts divided 12 by 2 and got 6 but she didnt divide the 2. If Mrs. Roberts would have divided the 2 ÷ 2 and got 1 she would have got the correct answer for the ratio. This is how she made the mistake, not dividing the 2. I hope this helps.
