What happens if arthritis destroys cartilage in a joint?

Hey!

Wat a coincidence! I just gave a speech on arthritis today! :D

If arthritus destroys cartilage in a joint, everything that is supposed to support the joint - such as ligaments, muscles and tendons - will weaken, and this will lead to pain known as RA.

Someone I knew had arthritus, and when it destroyed the cartilage in her joints, she was unable to walk anymore.
