The answer is 5/6
First step is to make both fractions have a common denominator(bottom number) in this case it would be 12, so whatever you multiply the bottom by you must multiply the top by as well
multiply 2/6 by 2 to get 4/12 and multiply 2/4 by 3 to get 6/12. from there you add the top numbers to get 10/12 and lastly you simplify to get 5/6

Simple,
first equalize the denominators (thats the bottom number)
Both of them can be turned into 12.
for 2/6, to change 6 into 12, you multiply it by two. To keep the expression equal, you multiply the top number by 2 as well. So the first number is 4/12.

The second number, 4 has to be multiplied by 3 to get 12. multiply the top of the number by the same number. The second number becomes 6/12.

Rewrite the question:
4/12 + 6/12. Just add the top numbers.
Your answer is 10/12.

Hope this helps!
