Environmental protection will come when the public is aware of the situation we are in. They will become aware of this by first giving out the data. People become more aware and more willing to help fix the problem when they see how bad it is.
Numbers and statistics are a great way of doing this. Also, developing a policy. If we were to set a list of strict rules about what we can and can't do, it would help people realize what they are doing and how they can help fix it. Not only make this policy but strongly enforce it.
If it's not strictly enforced no one will follow through with it and the environment will not be protected as it should be. All of these things must work together or we will never achieve environmental protection.
