y-----------------> the height of the tall painting-----------> 6 ft

the scale factor is-------------- > x/y
(x/y)=(4 in)/(1.5 ft)
x=y*[
(4 in)/(1.5 ft)]-------> 6*(4 in)/(1.5 ft)=16 in

the answer is x=16 in
