The electromagnetic spectrum defines all the wavelengths of light. Scientist uses different kinds of telescopes sensitive to different wavelengths of the spectrum. Large infrared telescopes are used to view the core of our galaxy. Moreover, radio telescopes are used to map the structure of our galaxy while microwave telescopes captures the remnant glow of the Big Bang.
