We know that the three angles of a triangle equal 180.
​(x + 4) + (2x -2) + 26 = 180
combine like terms
3x + 2 + 26 = 180
combine like terms
3x + 28 = 180
subtract 28 from both sides
3x = 152
​divide both sides by 3
​x = 50.66...
