Given:
Area of cross section= 78.5 ft²
Ratio of AB to BC= 5 : 4
AB=10 ft
To find BC, we get
5/4=10/BC
5BC=40
BC=8 ft
Now formula for volume of prism:
V=Area of base x height
Put values
V=78.5 x (10+8)
V=78.5 x 18
V=1413 ft²
Answer: 1413 ft²
