Solving quadratics using square root:
12 + (x-2)^2= 3

\bf 12+(x-2)^2=3\implies (x-2)^2=-9\implies √((x-2)^2)=√(-9) \\\\\\ x-2=√(-9)\implies x=√(-9)+2
