Hello there!

6 - 2x > 2x + 26

Let's start by subtracting 2x from both sides

6 - 2x - 2x > 2x - 2x + 26

-4x + 6 > 26

Then add -6 to both sides

-4x + 6 - 6 > 26 - 6

-4x > 20

Divide both sides by -4

-4x/-4 > 20/-4

x < -5

As you can see, I change the sign. The reason is because whenever you divide both sides by a negative sign, you MUST change the sign.

The answer is -5

See picture bellow for the graph!

I hope this answer helps, and please let me know if you have questions about the answer.

As always, I am glad to be your helper to night!
