Answer: Value of x is 16

Explanation:

Triangle ABC and ADE are Similar Triangles using Angle-Angle-Angle similarity,

therefore,

(AB)/(BC)=(AD)/(DE)

AB=x

BC=8

AD=x+6

DE=11

on substituting value,

(x)/(8)=(x+6)/(11)

on cross multiplying,

11x = 8x+48,

subtracting 8x on both sides,

3x = 48,

dividing both sides by 3,

x=16

Therefore, value of x is 16
