A snail moves 1/40 of a mile in 3/4 of an hour. If the snail continues at this pace, how far, in miles, does it move in one hour?

The answer is .03 or 1/30 but, Idk how to explain my answer.

1/40 ÷ 3/4 = 1/40 ÷ 4/3 = 4/120 = 1/30

In
(3)/(4) hour snail moves
(1)/(40)miles

(3)/(4) hour = (1)/(40) miles

Let us multiply by 4 on both sides, so that we can get the distance to be traveled in 1 hour.

So,
(3*4)/(4) hour=(1*4)/(40) miles

(3*1)/(1) hour=(4)/(40) miles

Now to get distance in 1 hour, Let us divide by 3 on both sides

(3)/(3) hour=(1)/(10*3) miles

(1)/(1) hour=(1)/(30) miles

In 1 hour, the snail travels
(1)/(30)miles
