To estimate mean using a sample. Terrance will need to randomly select students he will survey so that the sample represents the population well

As, there are 595 students in the school.

To find the mean number of books, read by student in the school during summer

If he will survey all the students in the school that will give the exact mean , but that will be little lengthy and tedious.

As, well as larger the number of students surveyed , the better the mean is.

But option A, is true as, select randomly few students , find the mean number of books read by them , that will be less time consuming and gives the mean of population also.

Option A:

To estimate the mean using sample,Terrance will need to randomly select students, he will survey and that represents population as well.

Apart from option A,option B is also true.
