To model half-life, use the formula
A(t)=A_0 ((1)/(2))^{ (t)/(t_(1/2)). Here,
A(t) is the amount remaining after a length of time
t.
A_0 is the amount that you start with.
t_(1/2) is the half-life. You plug in 50 for
t_(1/2), 10 for
A_0, and 25 for
t. You get
A(t)=10( (1)/(2))^(25/50) = 10( (1)/(2))^(1/2) = 7.07 \ grams.
